Supporting Sensors in Windows 8

Supporting Sensors in Windows 8As has been reported previously, Windows 8 will support multiple types of sensors such as ambient light sensor and accelerometer, compass, and gyroscope.

All the sensors will be combined by fusion sensor from Microsoft to enhance the sensor capabilities.

Microsoft get the inspiration for this fusion sensor is coming from an applications that use the motion and orientation to the handset.

According to Microsoft, by using the accelerometer and compass sensors alone are not enough to create virtual reality application so they also include gyroscope sensors. But it turns out, the addition of this sensor is still not enough because there are a lot of noise and laggy so eventually all three sensors are combined to provide a better data.
